Friends of Publish What You Fund was established in May 2015 with the objective of promoting better foreign assistance outcomes by improving access to timely and relevant information.

Regular publication of good quality information on how and where the US is investing its foreign assistance is a powerful asset. It allows for well-planned, better targeted and more evidenced-based decision making. It provides taxpayers, Congress, policy makers and the media with valuable information on US investments. And it provides developing nations and their citizens with needed information to help them move toward self-sufficiency.

Friends of Publish What You Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the District of Columbia. Our Board is chaired by George Ingram. We are committed to transparency in our own work and operations, and publish our spending information to the International Aid Transparency Initiative.
